Day 12 – The Spiritual Necessity of Tithing & Almsgiving

giving to God

The topic for tomorrow – Day 12 – Wed. Nov. 26 of the 2014 30 (40) Days of Blogging Challenge is

The Necessity of Tithing & Almsgiving

Now here’s the kicker – don’t blog on why one should tithe first fruits, give offerings above the tithe, and offer alms for the poor. That’s been done to death. Instead, blog about why it is a necessity, and what is lost when it is ignored. What is lacking spiritually in a Christian when they disregard tithing, offerings and almsgiving (all, not one or two). These form a tight defense for the soul against greed, lust, avarice, and pride.

What do you think would happen to a soul who ignored them all, and then fulfilled them all regularly, joyfully and faithfully?

What do you think would happen to a church – any church of any size – where that transfiguration was beginning?

Do we walk by faith and not by sight, or not?

Do we trust in the Lord with all our hearts, and lean not on our own understanding?

Do the lessons of Scripture actually teach us anything that we are willing to obey?

This blog is about money – blog about the necessity in spiritual development of using it properly. Some graphics for your use are below.
