Two of the most significant letters we received as clergy in the OCA Diocese of the Midwest were letters his eminence sent to us. One entitled "A Sorrowful Epistle," the other "A Joyful Epistle." He led us by serving us in genuine humility, and we were invigorated by his frank discussion, and his spirit of brotherhood. We held him up as our bishop, but he always held us close as brothers.
